A: For our current customers, GM will continue to take care of you every day. There should be no interruptions in GM’s ability to take care of our customers and honor customer programs and warranties and provide replacement parts. In fact, the court has authorized GM to honor customer warranties and programs as it always has. You should have total confidence that:

Our products are safe;
We will honor your existing warranty;
GM dealers will have the same access to replacement parts as they always have;
Customers of discontinued brands or dealerships that have closed as part of GM’s viability initiative will continue to be supported by other GM dealerships;
Customer promotions and incentives will continue without interruption;
You do not need to do anything differently regarding your warranty;
There is no impact to OnStar^® service, your OnStar subscription will remain in place;
GM continues to have a nation-wide network of Goodwrench technicians trained to perform maintenance and repairs on your GM vehicle.

This is good news for customers who want to buy cars from an automaker with an award-winning lineup of cars and trucks with rock-solid warranties and other customer-support programs, one that is a leader in green technology and has a promising future. All customers should have confidence in GM’s ability to serve the needs of customers in every way, including the commitment and ability to honor warranties for many years to come.

+Q: Will I still be able to get the parts I need to work on my own vehicle?

A: Definitely. Genuine GM parts are, and will continue to be, available to you through an authorized GM Dealer to help you repair and service or maintain your GM vehicle.

+Q: Will dealers still be able to get parts to repair my vehicle?

A: Yes. Genuine GM parts are, and will continue to be, available to dealers so that they can help service and maintain your GM vehicle.

+Q: Will customers still be able to get service parts to repair their vehicles?

A: Replacement parts are, and will continue to be, available to service and maintain GM vehicles. Customers can be assured that GM and our dealers are open for business and are committed to meeting the service needs of our customers now and well into the future.

+Q: Can I still get my vehicle repaired under warranty?

A: Of course. GM is committed to taking care of you — our customer — by fully guaranteeing the express warranty on all GM vehicles.

+Q: My dealer closed. Can I go to a local dealer that is right around the corner for warranty service?

A: For warranty repairs that don’t create a significant inconvenience (i.e., the vehicle is drivable and does not pose a safety risk), customers need to take their vehicle to a dealership that currently sells and services their brand. If the customer believes that the issue they are facing does create a significant inconvenience, they can take their vehicle to any GM dealership for warranty repairs. In these cases, the GM dealership must determine if they have the training and tools necessary to perform a warranty repair on another make.

+Q: Will GM honor customer warranty claims?

A: Yes. GM will continue to take care of our customers every day. GM will assume the obligations to support the express warranties issued by GM to its customers.

+Q: If my GM dealer is no longer in business, or my brand has been sold or phased-out. Can I take my GM vehicle to any GM dealership for warranty work?

A: For warranty repairs, customers are encouraged to take their vehicle to a dealership that currently sells and services their vehicle brand. However, if the customer believes that the issue they are facing creates a significant inconvenience to them, they can take their vehicle to any GM dealership for warranty repairs. In these cases, the GM dealership must determine if they have the training and tools necessary to perform a warranty repair on another make.

+Q: If my selling dealership is still in business, however they no longer carry the brand that I bought from them, can I continue to have my warranty work done at this dealership?

A: If your selling dealership still maintains other GM brands and believes they still have the proper tools and expertise to fix your vehicle, and if you feel you would be seriously inconvenienced by going to another dealership that carries your vehicle brand, you can continue to have warranty work done at your selling dealership.

+Q: Is GMAC impacted by the recent changes at GM, and will they still be able to offer me financing if I qualify?

A: GM’s relationship with GMAC will not change, and GMAC will still offer qualified customers financing for GM vehicles. If you have more questions, feel free to contact GMAC directly.

+Q: Did my GM Card Earnings program change? Are my Earnings still valid?

A: Your GM Card Earnings will continue to be honored in accordance with the Program Rules. You can keep using your Card at more than 18 million outlets where MasterCard^® is accepted to accumulate Earnings and redeem them toward eligible, new GM vehicles. +Q: Can my GM Card Earnings be redeemed at any GM dealership?

A: Your Earnings will continue to be honored at all authorized and participating GM dealerships in accordance with your Program Rules.
